Guide to finishes and textures: (1) Standard glass have a glossy impervious surface that is easy to clean and reflects light. Colors appear strong and vivid; (2) Iridized tiles are treated with acid wash that creates a permanent oil on water finish that refracts light into rainbow colors. Pearlescent or pearl finishes may be slightly softer than iridescent finishes. (3) Matte tiles have a textured surface that diffuses light so that the colors appear softer and more naturalistic. This finish is also useful for floors as it has non-slip properties. Each tile is 8mm square (slightly larger than 1/4 inch), 1/8 inch thick and 1,100 tiles = ± 1 square foot. 1 kilo or 1000g (2.2 lbs) = ±1,600 tiles (1.45 sq ft).
