How do I remove remove tiles easily and safely off mesh?

Most of our customers simply peel them off as the remaining glue actually helps the tiles to stick BETTER in your mosaic. It adds traction and more surface area for bonding. However if you prefer to have them with little or no excess glue then follow the instructions below.

  1. Buy from the supermarket a bottle of product for unblocking drains or strong bleach. This is safe for use in all sinks and baths and not dangerous to touch with proper precautions.

  2. Take a plastic dish or container and put the tiles that you need to soak off into it.

  3. Using a measuring cup add cups of water until the tiles are covered by water. Remove the tiles leaving the water in the container.

  4. Add 1/4 cup drain unblocking liquid for every cup of water in the plastic container.

  5. Stir the water and drain unblocker carefuly to mix.

  6. Add the tiles gently section by section with the mesh side down.

  7. Leave to soak overnight.

  8. Pour off liquid from container, this is actually good for your drains as well.

  9. Fill container with fresh cold water.

  10. Drain and repeat 2 times.

  11. Remove tiles from mesh using your fingers you can rub off any excess softened glue.

  12. Dry the tiles on paper towels or old cloths. Back to top
