Please note that glazed ceramic tiles are not as durable or weather resistant as porcelain or glass tiles. If your project is subject to freezing weather we recommend using only full body matrix colours such as Winckelmans, Mazurka or glass tiles. Porcelain Tile Is weather resistant They are ideal for use in areas where temperatures drop below freezing in the winter. Since they do not absorb water, they will not crack due to the cold. Porcelain tiles are also highly recommended for climates that receive strong direct sunlight since they will not fade.

There is a special place for traditional mosaic products that have created the world's most enduring and iconic mosaics. Winckelman's is a French Porcelain manufacturer of quality unglazed quarry tiles since 1894, the tile of choice for traditional Roman style mosaic. Cinca is a Portuguese line of unglazed porcelain in a 25x25mm size. Their white is a brighter fresher white than Winckelmans. Please note that this is an unglazed product so a characteristic is a dusty, muted colour as seen in vintage mosaics. Gaudi did more to make mosaic a modern art form than any other artist with his exuberant use of colour and form. Use Mosa high gloss tiles for Gaudi style mosaics indoors but the Cesi floor tiles are essential for outdoor projects where freezing occurs. Caifornia Pebble is a Retro collection with an eco or zen theme. 

Our collection of ceramic shapes and puzzles are made in China and have great decorative properties. Please note that not all these tiles are suitable for outdoor use and extreme weather.
