20mm: Metallics
Foil or glitter backed crystal glass tiles are growing in popularity and are well suited for upmarket installations. Made from high quality float glass that is textured and hand-decorated with coloured foils or glitter powders using a polyurethane glue. Next an epoxy layer is spray coated on the back which bonds with the decorative metallic coating and protects it. Finally, the back is protected by the application of a hard-wearing fusible material heat-bonded in a linear kiln. The result is exceptional resistance to chipping and peeling when nipping these tiles. The firing of the tiles rounds and softens the edges for a lovely smooth surface. Each tile is 20mm² and 4mm thick. 1 sheet = 196 tiles and 1m² ≈ 11 sheets.
The colour is sensitive to light and will fade with exposure to direct UV radiation.
We wrap and package orders carefully to avoid damage and breakage, however, due to the nature of glass, ceramic, and porcelain, damage may occur in shipping. All tiles and accessories are shipped at your own risk.
